The Ann Arbor Society for Musical Arts (S.M.A.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. No goods or services will be provided by the Society for Musical Arts in exchange for your contribution. Your contribution to this Fund will be acknowledged and is tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
Make a gift to the Penelope Fischer Young Artist Competition Fund
For more than 30 years Penny has been an active member of the Ann Arbor Society for Musical Arts (S.M.A.) whose morning concert series at the Ann Arbor City Club has generated funds that enable young people in our community to pursue their music studies. Contributions to this fund will enable S.M.A. to continue offering financial awards to winners of the annual competition to musically talented college- and university-aged students up to the age of 34 years who study or reside in Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti.
Join the “88 Key Club”
We are raising money toward purchasing and maintaining our brand-new Yamaha grand piano to be housed and available for use at the Ann Arbor City Club. This piano has been tested and gets an “excellent” rating from William Bolcom and members of the UM piano faculty. It is being funded by the SMA and individual donations. Please consider joining the “88 Key Club” by making a tax-deductible donation toward the purchase of this beautiful instrument.
